The polar heart rate monitor was faulty. Didnt pick up correct heart rate. Sometimes stayed on a constant low rate no matter how fast I was running, then other times went as high as 260bpm when I was just standing still. Not sure if product in general doesnt give accurate readings or whether I had a faulty item.
My advice is, its cheap for a reason. If you want a monitor that works, go for a more expensive version. This one is not user friendly as one button functions all settings and doesnt pick up heart rate properly. Not impressed.

I bought this Heartrate monitor for my husband who recently suffered a heart attack even though he has always been a fitness junky. Being a bit of a technophobe I wanted a monitor that was simple to use, to be certain that he would use it whenever he was exercising. True to its description it does just that. Very pleased

I bought this heart rate monitor to track my cardio work in the gym. It works well and helped me in my workouts. However, the battery life is terrible. When I took delivery of it, the battery life was already low on the wrist part. It lasted about a month and then died, I had a battery put in in the local watch shop and this lasted an even shorter period of time, maybe 3 weeks. Ive given up on it, it was a total waste of money.

I like this basic simple heartrate monitor. It does what it says it will do and has a very easy set up.

This monitor is easy to use and understand and works well. The strap can be a bit tricky to put in place, but once there is reasonably comfortable.
