I bought a Polar HRH a while back and recently after changing the battery, it would not work. I hope that wont be the case with this new one. Also, worth noting that the Wearlink strap and unit has been redesigned and it is now easier to take on and off than the previous model with snaps.

This is a very comfortable unit to wear , very easy to adjust and it does not feel tight around the chest .
The strap ( minus the sensor ) is machine washable and canbe worn for swimming ( in the sea and pool ) althought there might be some interferance .
Like the whole range of Polar products is very good value for money.
Highly recommended

very impressed. works very well with jogging machines at gym, allows me to jog nicely within my chosen heart rate. would recommend to anyone wanting to train within their heart rate.

This item was very good value. The advantage is you can replace the battery rather than having to purchase a new belt. Also it is more comfortable to wear. Needless to say it actually operates perfectly and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a monitor of this type.

When i bought my Polar Heart Rate Monitor the chest transmitter died and i thought all id have to do is change the battery in it thats all the problem was as the watch was working perfectly!
However when i changed the battery in it, it still failed to work - After phoning Polar up (who were very rude) they said thats all id need to do - When i said id done that but it wouldnt work they then said id need to buy a new Transmitter - I did this and after a while this one packed in - battery swaping and again it didnt work.
Basically, when the battery in the transmitter dies so does your Heart Rate Monitor. You can try swaping the battery for a new one but it still doesnt work - Polar are very unhelpful and rude and I wont be buying another HRM from them again. Ull have to keep on buying these everytime your transmitters battery goes - the watch even though that does go its easily fired up again when you put a new battery in that.
The Transmitter youll have to keep on replacing - my advice would be to not buy a polar HRM its over-priced, theyre unhelpful and it wont last as long as youd like it too - a year if that!
